Three fortunate Manchester United supporters were granted a behind-the-scenes tour of Carrington as part of a fundraising campaign organized by Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof.
In support of UNICEF’s Ukraine Appeal, the two Reds held a prize draw last year where supporters could enter to win some incredible merchandise. The nicest part was that they included a visit to the training grounds and signed boots and tees.
Before Bruno and Victor made their personal contributions, supporters could enter the draw for £5, and the tournament raised close to £50,000. All proceeds will be used to support the families and children in Ukraine who are suffering as a result of the ongoing flooding there.
With the help of these substantial contributions, UNICEF helps families maintain their health and education by giving them access to clean water, basic medical treatment, and school materials.
Ben Jordan of Kent, his son Finley, and family friend Harvey emerged victorious from the Carrington trip. They all three frequently go to United games.
When the fans argue over the team’s musical tastes and who has the finest taste, Bruno calls Tyrell Malacia, Anthony Elanga, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho “the gym boys.”
Coach Mike Clegg greets Ben, Jordan, and Finley as soon as they enter the gym and tells them that he has specific duties to supervise for each player.
Our Portuguese master then explains his favorite workout routine, which always entails a football and a ridiculously slanted basketball net. To fully grasp that, watch the video!
