As the highest-scoring Brazilian player in Real Madrid history, Vinícius Júnior has made his mark on the team’s history books.
Vinícius scored more goals than the great Ronaldo Nazario, who scored 104 goals, in the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Arsenal.
The 23-year-old joined the team in July 2018 and has already scored 105 goals.
Vinícius earlier said, “I’m very happy to have reached 100 goals wearing this shirt,” expressing his happiness at the achievement.
“The Brazilian with the most goals, Ronaldo, is now only three goals away from me. It is my goal to continue and usher in a new era with our club.
Even if he didn’t bring up Cristiano Ronaldo in his most recent remarks, Vinícius is now only one goal away from matching Gareth Bale’s club record of 106 goals.
With Real Madrid, the Brazilian winger has had tremendous success, taking home 14 trophies, including two Champions Leagues and three La Liga titles.
