Jude Bellingham was photographed at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, where he watched his younger brother Jobe, who was selected to start for Sunderland against Coventry City, which ended in a 3-0 loss.
After being appointed as the replacement for Tony Mowbray, who was fired at the beginning of December, it was Michael Beale’s first game as manager of the Black Cats. Sunderland had dropped to ninth place in the Championship standings after losing ten games this season.

Jobe, who joined Sunderland from Birmingham City earlier this summer, has had a fantastic first season. He has played in all but one of the team’s Championship games this year, contributing four goals and an assist.
Jobe has started 20 of his 21 games due to his outstanding play, but the team has been trying hard in recent weeks to keep the 18-year-old sensation from burning out over the holiday season. Jobe entered as a substitute during Sunderland’s 1-0 loss to Bristol City last weekend.
.
Even though his brother traveled from Madrid to watch him play, he was back in the starting lineup for today’s match against Coventry City, but the outcome was not what the Real Madrid star had hoped for.
Jude played a key role in Real Madrid’s thrilling victory over Deportivo Alaves on Thursday, which kept them tied with Girona for first place in the La Liga standings with 45 points.
Inside the Stadium of Light, he was observed grinning and chatting with onlookers while capturing a photo of the field from the stands.
Bellingham was upbeat, but after 70 minutes, Sunderland had fallen down 3-0 and suffered their second straight loss.
Just before halftime, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto gave the team the lead. In the second half, Callum O’Hare and Kasey Palmer both scored.
Their parents, Mark and Denise, have been dividing their time to support the two superstars, as reported by Mail Sport this week.
Mrs. Bellingham was photographed enjoying her birthday in a Newcastle restaurant a few days after being seen in Madrid earlier this week with Jude.
Prior to joining their new teams, Jobe and Jude were seen taking a vacation together earlier this summer in the south of France.
Jude, meantime, has also had a fantastic start to life in the Spanish capital, netting two goals in his past three La Liga outings and 17 goals in his first 21 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid.
Before that, Sunderland will play three games, starting next Tuesday against Hull City. Madrid’s next game is on January 3 against Mallorca.
