After 13 years, Luka Modric made his final home appearance for Real Madrid, saying goodbye with sadness.

Kylian Mbappe scored two goals and missed a penalty as Real Madrid defeated Real Sociedad 2-0 at The Bernebau to complete their La Liga campaign.

But Modric, who played his final home game and 591st overall for Real Madrid, was the center of attention.

In the 87th minute, the game was halted to allow both sides to give Modric a guard of honor before he was replaced by Chema Andres, a young player.

After the game, Modric was also spotted with his family, which included his wife Vanja Bosnic and their kids Ivano, Ema, and Sofia.

Modric won six Club World Cups, two Copa del Reys, four La Liga championships, and six Champions Leagues while he was with Real Madrid.

Before formally leaving, Modric will still play for Real Madrid in the Club World Cup this summer.
