Nico Williams was the best player at Athletic Club, therefore several teams wanted to sign him. One such team was Montpellier. But after Athletic’s victory at UEFA Euro 2024, Williams chose to stay with the team rather than accept offers from other teams.

Several top teams expressed interest in Williams this summer. These teams included Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Spurs, Barcelona, and PSG. But now the game can be played by someone else.

According to SPORT news (via Le10Sport), Real Madrid also wants Williams to help their attack if Vinícius Jr. leaves the Spanish squad next summer. The Spanish player may play alongside Kylian Mbappé next summer.

PSG might have to contend with Real Madrid and other teams if they want to sign the UEFA Euro 2024 champion.

Williams had an outstanding season for the Athletic Club in 2023–2024. He played 37 different types of games. Many teams wanted to recruit him because of how important he was to Spain’s success at the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany.

The player is still hoping to play in the UEFA Europa League this season for the same team his brother played for as a kid. We’ll have to wait and see if his value holds steady this season.
